Girls room ~ Almost done

I can almost taste victory.  Their room had been emptied of all the contents and freshly painted (thanks Dad!). The sheer curtains we found at Goodwill months ago have been hung, a new ceiling fan installed and bedside tables cleaned off.

More than half of the toys, collections and handmade creations have been sorted and many (more than I dared hoped for) have been put in boxes to sell, donate and (unfortunately) throw away. This Saturday we'll finish going through the girl's stuff, currently scattered all over our bedroom floor, and put the room back together for good.

The end is in sight.

When all is said and done I plan to post complete before and after photos. I can't wait to see how few bins of toys (tee, hee) remain.

Hats off to you, Renee! It looks awesome! And major, MAJOR props for whittling the toy onslaught to a minimum. I NEED to do this so bad. Soooo bad. 3 kids + 1 Room = waaaay too many toys and really hard time deciding what to cull. And, girl, don't EVEN get me started on the clothes!!

Good for you! You dood it!

Well done! I love the sloping ceilings and the loft shape of that room. We live on the top floor of this house, but the only sloping ceiling is in the bathroom, so that when we shower we can't really stand up straight!

The room looks great! I am fixing to have four girls sharing a room that looks about the size of that one. Three is super crowded. Hmmm...I don't know but I think we can do it! We manage our cramped space quite well and constantly get rid of and give away. I am loving that room, it's so pretty! :0)
