As I mentioned in an earlier blog, I love the Alberta sky. I love the summer bright blue with white puffy clouds. Funny, I didn't take many photos of that typical summer day sky. I took photos mostly of sunsets and stormclouds. I also love the "chinook arch". In the summer you can't call it a chinook but it has that same shape that arches over the sky and brings a changing weather pattern. The sky simply fascinated me. Watching it made me want to have a ranch in the foothills, facing west or a farm in the middle of the prairie with nothing to block my view. But of course practicality prevails - I don't like driving far (more than 5 minutes) for basic necessities. In fact I prefer if I can walk so that leaves me firmly planted on urban soil. Not to mention I live in Maine and really like my life here and appreciate the rolling hills, the lush green trees and lack of gusty wind. Anyway, here are some of my favorite photos of the sky from our trip to Alberta.
