School planning

I spent the evening planning for the upcoming school year and figuring out general household routine... at Starbucks. Kind of like a mini-retreat, complete with over priced "white" tea - what the heck is white tea?

Anyway, the night out by myself, even if it was for school purposes, was lovely. Now I really need to get to bed, on time. I have a routine I'm trying to establish smile.

Somehow I must have missed it ~ that you homeschool too ~cool! By the looks of your screen you look way more organized than I am, could you e-mail me copy? ~ just kidding:)

We eased into in 2 wks ago and I still haven't figured out how to balance school with blogging, keeping up with blogs, posting to flickr, you know all the things we'd like to be doing!

Looks like you're off to a good start with caffeine!

Claudia - balancing it all! Ha, I haven't got that figured out but I'm trying to discipline myself to spend only certain time periods on the computer, to prioritize what I want to do and then get as much done as I can in the time period I have. And finish the rest 10:30 on a Friday night, Ha! And realizing I can't do it all, like right now I'm not spending much time editing photos.

I saw your comment just today on Shutter Sisters and had to come here and comment. I share your sentiments on September being the transition month. You are ahead of me - mine are 5, 3, and 9 months - but we have spent the last weeks shopping and planning for a fun homeschooling year. Of course, I'm just getting started on the scheduling aspect, but I can see future Septembers being incredibly packed with planning for the coming school season. I love to see others homeschooling and living naturally, as we do. Way to go, Mama! I hope I can be as far as you in the coming years.

I love being organized and making schedules. Sticking to them is a whole different ball game. I'm trying to be gentle on myself in that area. Have grace for my failures just like I have grace for my children - something new I'm learning.
