Synopsis

Homeschooling presents families with the unique opportunity to both think outside-the-box and live outside-the-box of standardized education; to build a family culture, lifestyle, and curriculum around the family's values and their children's needs.

Project based learning is a methodology that facilitates an individualized and interest-led approach to education.

In this presentation, Renee Tougas, experienced homeschooling mom of three teenagers, shares the story of her own family's interest-driven homeschool journey. Learn how project based learning, among other methodologies, is a great tool for living and learning outside the box of textbooks, scope and sequence and standardized tests.
