Celine's dog Yvon

I have a bunch of things to say about project learning (not to be confused with unit studies), which I think just might be our method to this madness called homeschooling.

Sometime I hope to get the ideas out of my head and onto this digital paper but in the meantime I want to share photos of Celine's latest creation. Remember last year's doll Isabella? Still a favorite of Celine's. This summer it's a dog named Yvon.

Celine (my beautiful 10 year old daughter) tackled this sewing project all on her own, the idea was hers and she found the pattern here.

Have I mentioned yet that I still can't sew with a pattern? This girl amazes me.

I had to help machine sew a few of the difficult leg stitches but the rest of the dog was wholly her own doing.

Way to go Celine. I'm so proud of you.

That's a good looking pup dog. My kids would love something like that. You in the market to make a couple more?

Rana's last blog post... Reading is Fun!

What can I say?! This Nana is so proud...Celine, you're using your creative talent and desires. Renee, you're allowing and helping it to happen.
