Ignorance is bliss

Ok, so I wanted to write a lengthy, eloquent diatribe against Wal-Mart. To rail against the corporate greed, the Chinese & South American sweatshops, the employee discrimination, the environmental contamination, and the monopoly its creating. Instead I've decided to simply link you to Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price

This movie does a much better job than I ever could of critically examining and exposing the truth about Wal-Mart. We went to a showing of this new movie at Bates this past week. We are ordering a copy for ourselves and can't wait to pass it around. Wish us luck as we venture into the post-Wal-Mart phase of our lives. Ie: we are attempting to never darken its gigantic, automated, smiley face doors again.
