Happy Birthday Laurent

Yesterday we celebrated Laurent's 7th birthday with a race car themed party. Laurent decorated the walls with large drawings of cars and sent racing car invitations. Daddy set up an xbox borrowed from friends to play Need for Speed, we put together Laurent's hot wheels track and raced little cars and I bought little balloon powered cars kind of like these to race and send home as favors.

And the cake... I hired a friend to make a gluten free birthday cake. She outdid herself. It's the nicest decorated cake my kids have ever had - and I didn't make it, and I don't have any inadequate mommy guilt about it!

Tomorrow is the actual day so pancakes, mac n' cheese and pizza (all of the rice flour variety) are the food orders for the day. Happy Birthday Laurent!
