Our family really likes using Math-U-See. Maybe it's just that we like math but I think this material has something to do with it.
The end of last month and the beginning of this have been a bit wacky with home renovations, sickness and something else that I can't remember right now. So I kind of fell off the wagon of morning reading, math and handwriting practice. Early this week, while I was battling an ear infection (a good reason to drop "school" if there ever was one) my 9 year old said she missed doing math. Oops. Looks like I can't drop the ball so easily.
Point is, we like math at our house. But for some reason we don't like this Skip Counting CD. I bought it thinking it would help our kids learn to skip count - you know 4, 8, 12, 16, 20...set to music. Cool concept but we're just not into it.
Maybe you'd like it?
We've only listened to it a couple times in the car (captive audience takes on a whole new meaning) but it just didn't stick. So I'm giving it away. It's as good as new and maybe your family will like it. If not, pass it on, sell it on e-bay, whatever.

Product disclaimer: The lyrics for the the songs are explicitly Bible-based. Think Zaccheus set to music with math, the guy was a tax collector afterall! We're Christians so this is no problem for us but I thought I'd just put it out there. The songs are kind of sunday-schoolish for lack of a better word.

I have heard about this program and would be very interested. My son has Sensory Processing Disorders (SPD), and learns most by impacting his senses as much as possible. I could see this being fun and beneficial for him!

Do I become disqualified if I am family?? :D Must run in the family. Stosh is already counting all digits up to 5. Another thing we haven't taught him. Man, kids are smart! I'm not commenting for the book and cd though. Seems you have a lot of interest that would probably be better at actually listening to it than we would. Haha.

We would love to have that ! I am a homeschooling mom of five small kids, 2 of them are struggling with math so it would be a huge help. And they love Sunday school songs !!!

We just today recieved our MUS materials in the mail and we are staring Primer and Alpha on Monday. I'd love to try the CD out! Thanks for offering it. Pretty cool idea!
