Ethnic Eclectic

In anticipation of my parent's visit next week during which my dad is going to paint our kitchen I've been doing renovation research. It all started last weekend when we were at the hotel Saturday night and I watched 2 hours of HGTV (very addicting tv). Afterwards I did a Find Your Style quiz on their website and after answering 10 design questions these were my results:

However, this weekend I also made my first ever matched furniture purchase. Actually it was just chair pads and a new slipcover for the futon but this is a big departure from our usual hand me down status. The chair was made by my father in law and the futon we've had for years (was a deal at our local BJ's). I'm really pleased with how these matching covers spruces up our "bohemian chic and contemporary ethnic flair" living room.
