Winter storm update

This is our yard Friday morning. The kids and I (well mostly me) made a snow fort. It became a perfect spot to launch snowballs from. The trees you see are "leftover" Christmas trees - ours and our tenants. They have been great play structures throughout the winter.
This is our yard Monday morning. The rain has been coming down hard and the wind seems to be blowing even harder. What a nasty looking yard. All those misc. wood & metal structures you see are going to become garden trellis material. I've been salvaging stuff - step railings etc.. to turn into beautiful works of garden art! Now if only I could get started. The kids & I are also going to paint the back fence this spring. Inexplicably whoever first painted it didn't finish the job.
