winter magic & adventure

Contentment does not describe my feelings after yesterday's family time sledding at a local state park. Combine physical activity, lots of belly laughter, winter's beauty and spending time with my favorite people and you start to get a sense for how I felt about the day. Contentment scratches the surface but profound joy comes closer to the truth. The photos speak for themselves but if you want to find out more about our family's weekend adventure you can read all about it here. Want to be inspired for more adventure in your own family? We're having a book giveaway over at ADVENTUREinPROGRESS.

Renee, those pictures are beautiful, all of them, but the second one and the last one are my favorites. My kids really want snow, but in the part of Virginia where we live we only got like one inch some weeks ago. Winter is not over, so hopefully one day we get a big bunch of that white stuff.

Beautiful photos-- and beautiful day! I said this over on Adv. in Progress, but I'll say it again here-- LOVE the term "backcountry sledding." My kids will totally take to that one;)

And a weekend full of whizzing down hills, belly laughter and favorite folks? can't get much better than that!

Beautiful photos as usual! I do envy you that snow. Living on Montana, you'd think there would be a lot more of that fluffy white stuff, but it has been sparse this winter. Sledding on a thin layer of snow, with rocks below, just isn't the same!

I just stumbled on your blog randomly surfing links and I can't. believe. I haven't seen it before! We live outside Portland and are planning on homeschooling our little one (who's only 9 months right now). I'm a homeschool grad myself; however, my husband was 'institutionally taught' and really has no frame of reference for home education. If you ever do another library presentation, please give a heads-up! Lovely pictures, too. :) Cheers, Megan

When I read your post, I had a sense of the exhilaration that must have fed your day. I'm not a hugely outdoors-y person, but sometimes I'm outside, especially with the energy of the kids, there is just nothing better. So glad you had such a good day. And what beautiful photographs.

My site is important for my sales. Therefore, it should have got high PR. I should determine if that is good to utilize blog posting tools at forum profile service. I don't understand if that will help me. Can somebody tell just about forum posting services? Thank you!

The world crisis influenced on almost all industries on the world market. Even the custom writing service used to be prompted to reduce costs for custom essays. Hence, that is the best chance to buy good quality academic papers for good costs!
