Winter in the Mountains ~ Already

I've debated sharing these photos since I want to live fall to the very end. But the reality is we are encountering winter on our weekend hikes and have the photos to prove it.

In spite of the shock to the seasonal senses (it's still very much fall in my backyard) I must say winter arriving in the mountains is absolutely beautiful.

I probably say use those words, absolutely beautiful, way too much on this blog but life should be filled with beauty. And I make it a point to look for and photograph beauty. It's part of my personal mission.
