Tendonitis pace

So I've developed tendonitis in my right wrist, due to keyboarding I think. Anyway, I'm attempting to live a more peaceful, simple, contemplative, centered, mindful, spiritual - whatever you want to call it - life. Nothing like a little bit of wrist tendonitis to help you along the path. Since I'm taking it easy on my right hand (i'm hunting & pecking with my left to type this) everything is slower - typing, cooking, eating, hanging laundry etc. This minor injury is forcing me to think before I act, be more slow and deliberate, not as efficient. I'm thinking of it as tendonitis spiritual development.

I commend you on your attitude of accepting your glitch in efficiency performance. I can identify with you in this challenge of having to pull back from what you ordinarily enjoy and have no problem doing - writing it all down has helped me, perhaps you can dance your way through. If not literally, I hope at least figuratively. I'll pray for a speedy recovery.

I find it hard to believe that you would develop tendonitis in only one wrist from keyboarding since you generally use both hands about equally, to do this task. I think it is more likely that you injured your wrist from something else and don't remember how or when. This has happened to me a few times. Or could it be arthritis? Just wondering...

I am considering that I may have arthritis in my wrist or have injured my wrist some other way. Whatever the case it is definitely aggravated by keyboarding since I use my right hand for 'mousing' & the number pad on the keyboard, as well as deleting and using up &down arrows. Whereas my left hand stays rather stationary. Time will tell... Either way, I'm trying to take it easy before it gets worse. Also considering diet contributions to arthritis pain.

Have you tried using Tiger Balm for your injured wrist? If not, it is worth a try. It is quite inexpensive and very effective. The red Tiger Balm is stronger than the white stuff, if you are going to buy some. If you are thinking of diet considerations, there are some foods that aggravate arthritis and some that help prevent it. But I wouldn't jump to conclusions that it is arthritis unless the pain is recurring over time because arthritis doesn't just 'go away', it tends to recur frequently, once you have it, especially in damp weather. It is more likely, at your age and careful eating habits, that you have somehow injured your wrist without realizing how you did it. Sometimes we can injure ourselves when we sleep by sleeping on a limb and temporarily cutting off circulation. Sometimes we can twist a hand, or other body part when we reach for, or carry something wrongly, and the symptoms don't show up for days after the fact. Whatever. I hope it feels better soon.
