September in my kitchen

I'm up to my eyeballs these days in school planning and organization. It's that time of year when we bring the learning indoors a bit more. The kids are definitely ready for the change. It's time.

I gave up my writing time this afternoon to spend an extra hour at the farm with the kiddos. The air won't always be so warm and crisp; full of apples and hay. Now's the time to enjoy it.

So all I have to share today is this photo; taken in my kitchen this afternoon. I stole a brief break from paying the bills and balancing the checkbook, while while Celine cooked supper*, to capture this bit of fleeting beauty.

I hope you're all enjoying September wherever you are at. Please do share links to the beauty you are seeing these days.

*Supper was delicious by the way, a variation of this Pad Thai Recipe. Having your children cook supper is simply the best!

What beautiful flowers. I can't wait to take the twins apple picking and enjoy some hot cider and doughnuts.

The Pad Thai recipe sounds delicious we will have to try this one.

Rana's last blog post... What have we been up to this week?

my 11 year old sometimes cooks dinner and it is so cool when she does. I'm glad that even though I have necessarily taught her - she has learned from me at an early age.

Good Morning! I am so looking forward to getting together! Sage was a bit disappointed when she heard we were getting together, but she & Celine were not amongst the gathering, ha ha! Next time..... I love the photo. Bring your camera tonight -- I would love to see it! Miss you much! Apple Season....Hard to beleive. I am still trying to transition from summer to fall ~ I need to get apple picking into the schedule before it is too late! :>) Hugs for a great day, ~ J.
