These are Celine's sandals. This summer is the first time I can fit into my daughter's shoes. Barely, mind you, but it's still a fit.
Any mama of a young adult or nearly young adult knows the mutual joy and catch in my throat I get from wearing these. So we're here already are we? Where did all those chubby-legged crawling, toddling, playground summers go?
She's a couple years ahead of my mothering journey but I'm right with Heather on this one.
PS. If you're curious about what shoes I'm actually wear this summer (when I'm not borrowing Celine's sandals) you can read my first minimalist shoe review just posted at Toe Salad. There's even a video in there of me... taking a shower (well, not quite but I've piqued your curiosity haven't I).

WOW - I just clicked over to the "Life....Your Way" (Have yoour cake...) sponsor. From what I see so far, looks like another blog that is going to become my favorite! I am preparing a new home management notebook literally this week, and that site has a pile of free downloads for just that! Thanks for the subtle "recommend"!!
Mandi is like the organizing queen! She's got a lot of great resources.
I think I mentally gulped as you wrote about your child growing into a young woman. I am just at the beginning of this road and yet as you wrote I could already feel the bittersweet pangs as only a mother could.
I too loved your Toe Salad review. I may just have to check those out as we I would love something I can go from hiking to gardening to in the kitchen making dinner in.
I have the perfect idea for a savoring summer post, but I won't have WiFi access on my laptop till later this week. Can't wait to join in the fun!
Great idea! I sometimes need reminders to stop and savor. I hope you don't mind I used a post from last week as it was right on topic, and just added a link back to you.
no problem (smile)
oh renee. i love this.
we're not there (sharing shoes) yet but i did grab a pocketbook and lipstick from my daughter's dress up box last weekend to wear to a wedding. it was a cool little full circle moment for me as i thought back to all the clothes, makeup and shoe swapping my mom, sister and i used to do.

I enjoyed reading your review on Toe Salad! Also, I really like these summer sandals. Are they also minimalist or are they a standard flip flop?
