November hike-u

study in contrasts orange blaze, cold river, gray bark November beauty

And not related to the above poem (which I composed while hiking yesterday) but sort of...

I have no words today to explain how the mountains, rushing rivers, bare trees and sunsets give me life. Call to me and fill me to my very core. Seep into my bones and being. This is where I meet with God.

Please do wear plenty of blaze orange this time of year or you might see God up a bit closer than you meant to! Hunters scare me!

ha, ha! Very clever. We all wear very bright orange vests. Ruins photos unfortunately to have that bright fluorescent orange, oh well. Ugly safe is better than sorry.

many of mornings I have gone outside running on our nearby trail and "met" God out there. I can totally relate. Thanks for taking some pictures this weekend. I took none.

I love the pic of the sunflare blazing through the trees! Reminds me of my trip to Muir Woods, CA last March. Thank you for sharing!
