life is in the details

I need a break from words, writing them to be specific. Several factors are converging at one time right now to bring on this break:

  1. I have a teensy sore throat/feel in the dumps kind of thing going on right now. And one child with sore ears. Rest, fluids and garlic are the order of the day, especially because...
  2. We are going winter camping/backpacking in 6 days and hosting our hiking buddies the night before.
  3. After winter camping my parents are visiting for a week. My dad, bless is heart, is going to paint the girl's room and we are going to enjoy being together.
  4. The day of my parent's departure is Laurent's 9th birthday. E-gads! How on earth is this possible? And how can I plan a special day with as little stress as possible?
  5. Our tenant's unexpectedly left and we are now in "find new tenants mode" which becomes a part time job for me; advertising, showing the suite, calling references and of course cleaning the apartment.
  6. </ol>

Let's just hope that's all I have to deal with for the rest of this short month because I'm fairly certain I can't manage any more than that!

I love posting on a regular basis but I need to go easy for the next two weeks. To do this I'm setting limits on myself. This is my self imposed guideline: posts can be only three sentences long but have as many photos as I like.

I already have a bunch of photos to share and know I'll have more from our winter camping trip. It should be fun. And I could use a little fun in my life right now.

I hope you all feel better. You DO have lots to think about in the next few weeks. I would love to hear about your snow camping when you get back! xo Kyndale

The tenant thing can be a pain. I am amazed how many people think it is acceptable to fly the coop at midnight, still owing tons of money (or other behaviour along those lines). Not always fun.
