This morning I finished my second batch of soap this week, a first for me. Up to this point I've only made one batch every 3-4 months and that is sufficient for our own supply and some to give away or sell cheap to my mom. But this summer I'm trying something new. I've come up with 3 distinct soaps (the recipes are mine) and they will be available locally for purchase in July from Willow Pond Farm.
I also barter soap for stuff & services. I love barter. I'll showcase each batch here as they are done. The first one out of the mold and presently curing is Garden Rosemary Mint with the skin soothing herbs plantain and comfrey, both from my very own yard. All my soaps are made using the old-fashioned, cold process method with 100% pure essential oils, no fake fragrance oils.
I love making soap. It's very much a science requiring exact measurements (how I manage this part I'm not quite sure). But it's also an art and I enjoy designing the combination of fragrances and textures to produce something beautiful. I'm a rather no-nonsense, practical type person but I love beauty and making soap is the perfect marriage of aesthetic and function.

Renee - you make the most scrumptious soaps... You should open your own Etsy shop :)
Oh, your soap looks divine!
I'd definitely buy some!!!
Your soap looks wonderful. I would love to make my own soap using the cold-process. I am saving that for a later date, but someting I most definitley want to do.
