~~~ And may all your Christmas' be white ~~~
Nana & Papa have arrived. The feasting has began. Computer network car racing games and chess are being played.
While my family is skiing this morning (I'll go out this afternoon) I will finish sewing Brienne's Christmas present.
During the day we will each secretly plan and consider our personal contributions to the Christmas Eve "program" of poems, stories, and songs.
Papa and Daddy will make a trip into town for some festive "spirits"
In the early evening, well bundled against the cold, we will go caroling in our neighborhood.
After that we'll come home and eat our traditional Christmas Eve tapas-like supper. Homemade pitas (not made by me!), gluten free crackers, kale chips, roasted red pepper hummus, locally smoked salmon, fresh cut veggies, pickles, local strawberry wine, and Nana's nutnog, coffee shortbread and fruit cake.
Then, what the children have been waiting for all month - the gifts. Lovingly made and purchased, so much fun to give and a pleasure to receive.
The days are merry and bright. And Christmas, this year, is definitely white.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful weekend. Merry Christmas!
