Our family attended the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour last night at Merrill Auditorium in Portland. What a blast. The whole program was 3 hours long and we didn't get home until 11:30 but it was worth it. The films were beautiful and the people and geography they explored were awe inspiring. As a bonus the festival is from Banff, part of our family's Alberta heritage. Seeing the photos of the Rockies tugged at my heartstrings a little.
This may become a yearly tradition for our family. To be inspired & challenged about outdoor adventure, to see beautiful films on cultures and places different than our own and to have a family evening out in the middle of winter.
