Making Bubbles
July 21, 2009

Tonight ends a difficult day so I want to post something easy, light and fun. Bubbles.

What's on hand Bubble Mix
Brienne and I experimented with what we had and concocted this recipe.
-
2/3 cup Ecover dishsoap - which I don't like by the way but I am using until my Sal Suds arrives with the buying club order this week. I don't think this soap is sudsy enough for washing dishes which is why we had to use so much - adjust your recipe accordingly (ie: experiment)
-
1/2 cup water
-
15 drops glycerin - I bought this originally for experimenting with hair conditioners and de-tanglers. It didn't work for that but worked well for helping hold the bubbles. We watched the drift in the air and land on the grass.
Joy Bubble Mix You might want to try this recipe c/o Lisa at 5 Orange Potatoes, which neither of us has tried yet.
-
12 cups of water
-
1 cup of Joy dish soap
-
1 cup of cornstarch
-
2 tbsp baking powder
This seems to make a lot but I have noticed that Joy seems to be the soap of choice in the recipes I've come across. But I can't vouch for it.

Does anyone else have a bubble recipe to share?
