Un-Thanksgiving

We've celebrated a lot in the past month.

Canadian Thanksgiving with Damien's family in October, a visit with my parents the beginning of November, a festive harvest meal with turkey and all the trimmings at the college last week, the Lots to Gardens supper last Friday and Brienne's princess fairy birthday party on Sunday. So we decided to take a break from Thanksgiving this year.

Instead we slept in and I did a project all morning with the kids (I can barely contain my excitement about my contribution to tomorrow's Sharing the Season Fest I'm hosting here). I had some time to myself, ahh... We snuggled on the couch, all of us. I made a simple harvest supper of mashed potatoes and cabbage with mushroom gravy. We ate Damien's pumpkin custard for dessert while watching Kung Fu Panda.

It was a perfect Thanksgiving.
