Some weeks are like this

It snowed 12 inches last night of very wet, heavy snow. The driveway is only half dug out.

My son's 8th birthday is in 3 days. Belgium waffles, pizza & roasted tomato soup. His requests for the day. An afternoon painting clay creations.

We're gearing up to go winter camping. I cannot wait to post photos of that adventure. Seriously, I'm not sure if I'm more excited about the actual getaway in the woods, or posting photos (of us cozying by the woodburning stove or heading to the outhouse) to prove we did.

I'm busy writing and posting with my husband over at ADVENTUREinPROGRESS.

The basement is almost ready and I'm answering phone calls, screening applicants, crossing my fingers, hoping and praying we get a good tenant.

My husband is not feeling himself and needs extra tender loving care these days.

We are definitely not doing our math curriculum this week.

I sewed curtains for the basement today and took 150 photos, many duds, of our winter day. I made lotion after supper because we ran out.

I think I just might get all the holiday letters addressed to family and friends this week.

I am definitely not blogging anymore till sometime next month. No worries, remember next month starts in one week. I rarely take a blogging break because blogging is my break. But for this week I'm taking a break from that break because well there's the home, the husband, the basement, the kids...
