October

I'm nearly wrapped up the vocation, marriage, and work series.

I got approval from Damien to publish but in the interim we've had more intimate and honest (difficult) conversations about vocation and vision, which you'll see is a big theme in that series. And I've been taking time to re-read and edit, to make sure that what I've written is an honest and truthful telling of where I'm at.

But I better publish soon, because I see new things developing in my life and heart, already, that weren't realities two months ago when I was processing my thoughts for this series. The Spirit is moving. I need to publish what I've written while those ideas are still fresh in my life.

New beginnings are on the horizon.

October is a fine and dangerous season in America. It is dry and cool and the land is wild with red and gold and crimson, and all the lassitudes of August have seeped out of your blood, and you are full of ambition. It is a wonderful time to begin anything at all.
Thomas Merton

...all the lassitudes of August have seeped out of your blood.

September begins in summer and ends in autumn, but October is the first full month of autumn. October promises fresh, crisp air right from the get-go and except for the fading flowers in the garden, summer is done. All of us can get on now with the business of life.
