If September is about sunflowers then October is all about leaves. Red leaves, green leaves, golden leaves, tawny leaves. Falling leaves, crunchy leaves, floating leaves, fragrant leaves. Leaves, I love 'em.
Yesterday's hike at Camden Hills State Park, the same place we winter camped with my parents in February was fall spectacular, especially once the sun came out and illuminated the leaves. Oh... be still my beating heart.
Fall in Maine is a show stopper.
I almost forgot to share these cool leaf links:
breath taking. i used to do an annual trip to NY in autumn for work. i LOVED those trips. we have fall colors here, we just don't have the volume of trees the east coast does. nature is amazing. nicola http://whichname.blogspot.com

Quebec is our favorite city - Fall was incredibly beautiful there. I've never been to Maine but get the feeling it is similar in all its' fall glory.
I'm LOVIN' the leaves too. Seattle has really transformed in this past week. I've got to get out there and take some pictures before they all blow away! :)
