Canadian, eh?

There is much I enjoy about our weekly skating outing with the kids. But one aspect that is especially poignant is how Canadian I feel skating around the arena. This is just something that Canadians do - and I'm proud to be a part of it. It's also worth noting that a small Canadian flag hangs underneath the American flag in the Bates arena. "...from far & wide oh Canada, we stand on guard for thee".

Now, if we were truly Canadian we'd start a curling league. Although I don't even think our twin cities of 65,000 has a curling rink, whereas every rinky-dink town in Alberta has both a curling and skating rink. Our friends are incredulous when Damien tells them of his youthful curling league days.
