February is never an easy month for me and this one has been a bit of whammy. But wearing these new beauties is sure helping me to enjoy my days.
I let my friend choose the color for me. Did she call it or what?
Many thanks to my new friend who accepted soap in payment for these gorgeous mermaid blue merino wool works of art (that also happen to keep my hands warm when I'm writing, answering e-mails, knitting, reading or paying bills).
I'm giving her more than 2 bars of soap by the way,
this is just to show you my new winter woods soap (smile).
OOO! Those are way cool! I am just a newbie at knitting (still working on the same dern scarf in just plain jane knit stitch for over a year!!!)but I hope to get good enough to be able to make some of those! You make a good model! Fab color, too!
I feel that with friends who can knit like this and want to share who needs to learn? Of course I love knitting myself but I am NO Where near this skill level. She was done these in less than a month! I'll just plod along knitting and purling but it's hard to be motivated to do so when people can create these works of art for me in less time than it takes me to choose a yarn color!
Oooh I need these! Is it possible to get the pattern anywhere?
It's a free pattern from knitty.com knitty.com Summer 09 fingerless gloves
Lots of fun to make, and the coolest stretchy cast-on I have ever seen.
Thanks Rose for sharing that.
gorgeous! nicola http://whichname.blogspot.com
Those are very pretty! I love the pattern on them.

So lovely!! Those beauties would keep me motivated during the chilly times (: And that soap looks wonderful too! I love to barter with friends...I have a talent, you have a talent...let's share! So good (: May your toasty palms enjoy the warms snuggles from the Mermaid Blue wool (:
I absolutely adore those!! My mom just made me a scarf and I love it to pieces too. Gotta appreciate all these talented knitting gurus ;)

These look rad! I can't knit anymore but I love fingerless arm warmers. It makes them even more wonderful that you bartered for them. I'm huge on bartering, when I can. Wish I could trade you artisan bread for some homemade soap!
