Having the camera out at this time of year is so much fun. Soft backgrounds and bokeh bubbles are two of my favorite photographic effects. And taking photos of the tree, all decked out... fun, fun, fun.
Shutter Sisters recently linked to Me Ra Koh's tips for photographing your tree and also explained how to get those soft circles (bokeh bubbles) in your photos. Having a camera that will do my bidding in these regards is a great pleasure for me.
The camera has been quiet today but I've taken a few soft bubble photos over the past week and some last Christmas that I'm still very fond of. Seems like a good time to share those.
We went to a "decorated to the nines" open house the other night and I took the below photo there. A little more glitz than I'm used to but fun to look at and photograph.
lovelyhow how the bokeh just magically appears.
Hi Renee. I couldn't remember if I told you Merry Christmas. It has been a pleasure getting to know you this year! I hope you are having a great time at your mom and dad's house. peace and love - Denise
Christmas Romance of soft dancing lights...
I love to view your photos - thanks for the links. I passed
them on to Autumn. She absolutely LOVES the little bokeh bubbles in sunlight. She shoots alot of photos "looking for them".
So glad to see your Christmas has been merry & bright ~
soft, yet full of light amidst, or in spite of, the early dark of the evenings. Sort of sybolic for this Season of love & giving and of families gathering, of warm fires burning in both hearts and hearths.
Merry Christmas & Safe journeys back to home.
Love & hugs from us to you.
PS. We took ALL the kids, both nephews & my sister and went to see Avatar at the IMAX yesterday. Wow! Fantastic movie! Effects & story lines were great! We all loved it!
