Done, Done, Done

Our living room is done! Last weekend Damien finished the last of it. So, here is what we did: removed carpet, removed paneling and wallpaper, patched plaster walls and painted celery sprig green, painted ceiling butter yellow, replaced wallplates/outlet covers, designed and built window casings from specially ordered douglas fir (to match original trim throughout the house), re-installed trim on baseboard which had been removed and was being used as ceiling moulding in our basement apartment, installed a new light fixture. I think that's all and it only took us 16 months! At this rate we should be done our house renovations in 15 years, just in time to start over again!

I had the privilege of seeing this work in progress at the July/2005 stage, and seeing your posted pictures has helped keep us current. Your room looks even more inviting now that it's finished. Congratulations on sticking with it to completion.

Beautiful job to both of you on the transformation in your space. I think it looks far more inviting and homey. The wood detail is just what was needed to make the room pop! Keep up those great reno's.
