blue, white and green all over

(Photos and a few words about our simply wonderful weekend trip will be forthcoming. Promise.)

You may have noticed that green and blue are two of my absolute favoritist colors. Inspired by those colors I decided to make a "new" blanket (out of an older fleece blanket, some goodwill sheets and hand me down buttons) for our "new" guest/sewing room. Both the blanket and the room remain works in progress but just being able to play with these buttons has been fun.

My mother had a giant box of buttons when I grew up. She called it her "button box." As a child I would sit with this tupperware box full of beautiful buttons, all different colors and sizes, for a good hour making patterns and pictures and LOVING IT!

LOVE your pictures. Green and blue are two of my favorites too. Purple eeked in there somewhere along the way for me too, but blue and green have always been at the core.

My favorite color for 20 years was black. It still is my favorite color, but now I find that I can't do with "color" colors. And in my last few days away in the high mountain I was just amazed by the winter palette all around me. This is what your photos of your woods in winter reminded me of. (and I still find your word verifier very cryptic - good for fine hand motion skills:))

apologies for the captcha anti-spam "human verifier". It might be your browser. When I test it in Safari it looks just fine. We are working on changing that though. Thanks for going through the motions to get your comment posted!
