Celine's Strawberry Tea Party

We had a wonderful time this past Saturday celebrating Celine's birthday. Celine invited 7 friends - neighbors, fellow homeschoolers and church friends. Everyone arrived beautifully dressed for tea.

First we made potpourri sachets. I had sewn little square pouches from a floral material. The girls then decorated them with ribbons and beads. A mom of one of the guests & myself used glue guns to glue the ribbons etc. the way the girls wanted. The girls then filled the sachet with strawberry scented potpourri. This potpourri is made by our friends, they have a local nursery & floral business. It is the best potpourri I've ever smelled.

Then we had our actual tea party. The girls were all seated around the table and were served 2 kinds of herbal fruit teas and strawberry shortcake made with angel food cake, strawberries and whipped cream. They were such little ladies, quite a different scene from Laurent's pirate party.

And can't forget presents!

It was a great party. Our little girl was a strawberry princess for the day.

That party looks like it was fun. I love all the little dresses, especially Celine's. Celine looked very pretty for her tea party. The cake looked good to. I wish I was there to join in the party.

What a creative idea for a birthday! The girls must have had fun using real china cups and dressing up so pretty. I wish I could have been there too.
