Sick... agh....

Well, inspite of taking echinacea or maybe because of it the kids and I all got sick this past weekend! Damien has been skeptical of echinacea all along and now he's convinced it doesn't work! He wasn't taking it and he was affected the least with a cold. I started coming down with a cold last Friday, Sunday was the worst day and I'm slowly getting better. The kids have all had a touch of this cold although it hasn't seemed as bad as mine. This of course as we are busy getting ready for our trip to Alberta.

In addition all the kids have had the strangest rash. It seems like an allergic reaction and they've all had it at various points in the past 2 days, first Laurent then Brienne and lastly Celine. It seems like hives but we're not sure what is causing it.

So, we're trying to take it easy and rest while we are busy packing and getting ready.

Let me go to sleep and somebody wake me up in 3 days when we're already there.

No, I'm certain it's not chicken pox. It comes and goes and doesn't look like chicken pox at all. It doesn't seem too serious but it's got us stumped. Still haven't figured out what it is or what's causing it. We've found that Benadryl makes it go away so that indicates it's a histamine reaction, as Benadryl is an anti-histamine. Go figure.

It's always tuff to figure out what is making the rash happen. We to have a baby (Harrison) who is very allergic to milk. So soy is our major thing right now. Any recipe that you have that doesn't have milk in it would be a big help. Good luck with your kids.
