I finished my Christmas shopping this weekend at the Marché Public de Noël (let that roll around your tongue a bit). I was so pleased to find this seasonal treasure featuring crafty folks from around these parts.
Knitters, potters, vintners, woodworkers, weavers, jewelry makers, chocolatiers, herbalists, photographers. Our kind of people. Some of them living just down the street.
Not done your shopping yet and no Marché Public (public market) to visit?
I'm here to help. Last week the talented folks who read this blog submitted links to their on-line handmade shops.
Today I'm happy to highlight those shops and send other readers their way to do some holiday shopping. I don't like adding stress to the season with words like rush and hurry. So I won't do that.
Instead I'll say take your leisurely time (but not too much time since shipping takes a few days at least) in checking out these handmade shops.
I think I got all your links included in this list. You are a talented bunch (I knew you were anyway).
For me, on-line shopping from handmade shops is one of the more pleasant shopping experiences. That, and going to the Marché Public de Noël.
Happy Holiday Shopping. Now back to skiing. Which I'd rather do than shopping anyway.
I love these pictures of your place, and peeking through the windows. Though we live in the balsam Christmas tree capital of the world, we're not putting up a tree so can't wait to come and sit beside yours and sip tea with all the girls.
Thanks for the mention! A happy and peaceful holiday to you and your crew!
Thanks so much for the mention and for sending some new customers my way! I enjoyed checking out all the other handmade creations. So much talent, so little time.
Thanks for the mention, Renee! I appreciate your good intentions and support. By the way, I started soap making with your help and CDN supplier links on this blog. My, what a fun adventure! Soaps, balms/butters, detergent, OH MY! I think I'm hooked...
BTW, thank you for sharing all your tips and recipes. I couldn't have done it without them.
Have yourself a wonderful holiday and welcome to Canada!
You're welcome!

Thanks for sharing this! I am pretty much done with my Christmas making, but have a bunch of December/January birthdays coming up. Looking forward to exploring these shops further!
