Garden Report - Mid May is too busy

Life's too hectic these days to give a full garden report. I forget from year to year how BUSY May is. Everything seems to collide. The garden, camping, hiking, Celine's birthday and this year I've added the creative pursuits of photography and blogging.

In the garden all the early spring bulbs are either in full bloom or already done, like my hyacinths, tulips and the last of the daffodils. Vinca minor and Bergenia are lovely right now but located on the the far side of the house so I can't fully appreciate them. But this phlox is blooming next to the spirea by my front step and I just love the color combination. I'm so pleased that my perennial beds are starting to showcase all the color and beauty I've planned and planted over the past almost 3 years of living here. In my haste in and out of the front door these past 2 days (I've been doing way more errands this week than I like) I've stopped and smiled each time at this chartreuse & violet combination. Hope you enjoy it also!
