urban spring morning beauty

Maybe I was inspired by my new list or perhaps I had a really good sleep last night or maybe it was just the cat meowing at my head to be fed... but I got up at 6:15 this morning. Unheard of for me.

After getting up to feed the cat and truly deciding to not sleep till 7 am I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The sun was rising in the clear sky but the forecast was for torrential downpour later in the day. I simply had to get out, with my camera, in the sun, on this early spring morning.

The walk to the nearby college campus did not disappoint.

I'm tired tonight, a good but long day behind me. Revisiting this morning's photos brings a perfect completion to this spring day.

how funny! i did the same thing today. normally i get up around 10 and today i had to work at 9 so i got up at 6. there was NO traffic (yay for spring breakers) and i got to work so early i went to the park to shoot in the morning light. and then after work i needed to refresh so i shot the same trees in the evening light. wow how the blossoms had changed! and then my car battery died and i got a speeding ticket in the mail and the baby peed on me. oh well, it was nice while it lasted and i'll get to relive it when i upload :O)

ps i really love the reflection shot and the grass shot!
