Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is "the" thing you have to do if you visit Colorado Springs. This summer was our family's first visit to Colorado Springs and although we didn't have a lot of time for exploring during our visit we squeezed every moment we could from the time we had.

We arrived in Colorado Springs late Sunday night, shortly after midnight. Our first trip to Garden of the Gods was the next morning. After picking up burritos at Taco Express we drove to the park to have a picnic breakfast.

We returned almost every day of our five day stay in Colorado Springs. I highly recommend this park, and the early morning visits were definitely cooler.

I really wanted to check out more of the visitor information center. I'm a sucker for visitor center videos, especially when I'm new to an area and unfamiliar with the natural and cultural history. I had so many questions that never did get answered. Maybe next time.

Gorgeous pictures, Renee! I used to travel to Denver regularly because of family in the area, and during the summer trips, we'd go jeeping in the mountains, which is one of the best ways to see Colorado beauty. ;) It's been awhile since I've been to Garden of the Gods. Thanks for the stroll down memory lane.
