What's blue and green and white all over?

These are snow photos from this month, taken at our home and in the mountains on a ski day last weekend.
Our Christmas tree, decorations removed, now gracing our deck and used as another perch for the birds that visit the feeder.

Lovely pictures! This made me laugh because my pictures are currently blue, green, and white all over also. I live on the edge of the Black Forest, and I'm trying to do a 365 photography project, one photo per day. Most of my pictures so far are snow covered trees! Today I photographed a stump, just for variety.

Your photography is absolutely lovely! I am really enjoying reading your blog. Thanks so much for all the hard work you put into it, and for all your insights. It is all such a breath of fresh air for me, and I wish I lived close enough that we could meet for a cup of coffee :) Hope you enjoy the winter season and all the heavenly skiing that goes with it for your crew!

I want snow! We were traveling when little flurries came through our area but now that we are back, the kids are crossing their fingers.

I actually went totally manual on that and just fooled around with my focus and shutter speed, mostly. Here's the actual numbers: ISO - 200, Shutter 1/640, Aperture f/2.8, focal length 50 mm.

Beautiful!! Our tree is outside waiting to be decorated with homemade bird treats, it is on the agenda for next week, we just need to go hunting for some pine cones.
