Weekend Edition ~ Ready, Set...

There's a general vibe in my world these days - in my reading, living and connecting. A readiness for new things. It's that time of year.

The readiness to spring clean, to dream, to do something. Most of today's links tie into that somehow.

Inspiring Internet

  • Read Alouds. We love read alouds also.
  • Honey Butter Lotion. My friend Spring makes some lotion and shares her recipes with us.
  • Planning for Success. Another post from Spring. I'm not sure how she managed to make one of those fancy worksheets for her planner but I think it's cool.
  • 4 Ways to Take the Drudgery Out of Motherhood. Less drudgery, especially in March, is a good thing.
  • 7 :: March. Heather is one of my favorite bloggers. I love all her posts. At the end of this post she shares a gorgeous video on living a long life - simplicity, work & enjoyment. It will warm your spirit.
  • Juggling. I get this.
  • So What's it Like to Have a Book Published? An interesting read for those of who share our words with the world.
  • But if you eat so healthy, why are your children so sick right now!? My sis-in-law bears her soul on her family's food journey. Raising children (and navigating how we're supposed to feed and educate them) in today's world is not for the faint of heart.
  • Clean House 1-2-3. I love Kyce's cleaning wisdom. If you're in a season of spring cleaning with littles this is a good read.
  • The Servant. We support a mission in Costa Rica and one day we hope to take our kids there to work in the community for a short term project. I wonder "what do I have to give?" This post answers that. In fact, it answers what do we have to give wherever we are. We give ourselves.
  • Self Care: My (imperfect) 10 Step Plan. I'm working on number 6 right now - reading for pleasure. Ah.. that feels good.
  • Foot Love. Touch is important. Thanks Kyndale for reminding me.

PS. Added later this morning after reading my RSS for the day.

Sorry to bombard you all with so many links (I always feel I should limit them to a set number). I just really liked reading these. Pick and choose as you have time to read.

I'm not going to do my usual weekend story because I already talked a bit about our week in The March Perspective. Instead, I'm going to talk about the people who have been partnering with FIMBY the past couple weeks (ie: advertising here).

Erin Goodman is a long time blogging buddy of mine and I have loved watching her parenting, creative, farm-worker journey unfold at her blog. Erin is a self described Builder of Community, Weaver of Dreams, Teacher of Peace. I think that's so cool.

Erin's starting a new e-course next week called Planting the Seeds. I love the premise of this course and it's perfect for this time of year.

Are you ready to plant the seeds of your dreams? Erin can help and she's offering a 50% discount to FIMBY readers who join her upcoming course - $20 for one person or $30 to register with a friend. To take advantage of that deal just use the code FIMBY in your registration.

MB Studios is a beautiful ceramics shop out of Reno, Nevada, selling on Etsy. I love Mary's work - handmade beauty and daily inspiration. Words to hang on your walls. Words to inspire. Words to live by.

Frugally Sustainable is another Etsy shop specializing in soap, body care, and herbs. I'm inspired by some of Andrea's recipes, especially this one. Some of us make our own body products but if you don't you can check out Andrea's shop to buy some handmade goodness for your skin.

I've got some space once again for your ad if you are interested in partnering with me here at FIMBY to spread the word about your products and services.

{As you can tell by these photos, there isn't any planting going on in my world any time soon!}

    Thanks Renee ♥

Thanks for the links. I love looking at blogs that I don't know about. I really like that vimeo at the end of Heather's March post. So beautiful. She is someone I would like to emulate.

I hope you're having a good weekend friend.

I enjoyed all the links; many I'd previously read and others were new to me. All this change, readiness for more, discomfort, etc... good to know that I am not alone in it. And yet, I'm kind of longing for the end. To be in a settled place once more.

Renee, I look forward to your posts and have used your site as my go-to point for inspiration in both homeschooling and organization. I'm knee deep in putting together my own home management binder which was inspired by your posts and links. I really appreciate all the time you put into making your website a resource for so many different things. Thank you thank you thank you! Just today, I told another friend to look for you on my sidebar, assuring her she would love it just as much as I do! Keep up the great work, my friend!

Thanks for the link-mentions Renee! :) I used publisher to make my cute planner page. I, too, enjoy bouncing around to other blogs you have found helping and inspiring. I have to say, while all of your amazing pictures have my heart stirred for getting out of the city, I do not envy you the amount of snow you still have! My raised beds are now uncovered, and with the milder weather coming, I might be risking spinach soon! Enjoy your weekend!!
