We recently acquired a little video camera. We took it on our hike last weekend and Damien posted a video of that trip to our Adventure blog. It's a great video. Check it out if you want to see our family in action.

Last weekend was the mountains and today is our annual end of summer trip to the ocean. Hope all you North Americans are having a great "non-labor" (as Brienne calls it) Labor Day holiday!

As I sit here looking at your lovely pictures it's pouring rain here! I am soaking up your river swimming and sunny hiking vicariously. Our season is sweet but so short.

I love seeing you guys in shorts and swimming in the river. It is definitely fall here in Montana...the only outdoor swimming we'll be doing for awhile is in hot springs.

I'm loving the toenail polish! How do ladies keep their polish always looking so perfect? Mine always resembles yours very quickly after I paint. Sparkly green was a fabulous choice!

That picture of your kids hiking up the rock with the mountians in the background is amazing! You should feature your fam and your hiking dedication in a hiking magazine to show others that even when you have kids you can still hike and be outdoor-sy.

If only it were so easy (as featuring ourselves in a magazine). Seriously though Damien has started writing articles for a subscription on-line hiking and backpacking magazine. Mostly about gear but also as related to outfitting a family.
We have plans Lisa :) and encouraging other families to hike is one of them.

hat must have been quite a hike, and the view is gorgeous. Enjoy the beach!
