November looks like...

new knitting and crochet projects

the last of the yellow leaves

sunlit grasses and warm afternoons

the last of the light as it bleeds into dark

fresh chard from our raised bed

orange blazes on weekend hikes

the last bouquet of the season from my frost hardy chrysanthemum

The color of the days is getting me through the bleakness of the early darkness and lengthening nights.

What is getting you through these darker days? What does your November look like?

oh renee! your photos are just gorgeous!!!

what we're doing to enjoy november is working outside as much as we can...tucking strawberry plants and blueberry bushes in for the winter and getting everyone settled in to the barn...and inside we're crafting for a very special papa's birthday next week and starting to think about thanksgiving and advent calendars and christmas.

Love the 'last light fading into dark picture.' I hope I can do that someday. Thanks for gracing us with more of your visual world.

Stunning as always! I love your photography and the eye you have for their compostition. Our November....enjoying the last few warm afternoons on the Harley as often as possible. Finishing up the stacking of next years wood, so it can season a bit. "Tucking the yard in" for it's long winters nap. (I love the way that sounds...it sort of leads you into the pending: Night Before Christmas, doesn't it?) Thinking about delicious Thanksgiving, and how much we have to be thankful FOR. Looking forward to a special CHristmas ~ our Franzi is coming "home" from Germany for 3 whole weeks! Planning a Boston trip while she & Autumn are home.....craft fairs, taking stock of what will be needed for Christmas baking & homemade gifts. Listening to George Winston's cd:'December'. Aaahhh yes, cozy & warm by the fire.....xoxo Jody
